Epoxy Floor Paint and Epoxy Resin for Floors in Tashkent
STATERM supplies its own Stafloor epoxy flooring materials in Tashkent: Stafloor EP Finish coating and Stafloor EP Primer. Together they cover both what building-supply stores call epoxy floor paint for concrete and a self-levelling epoxy floor up to 5 mm thick. Below you will find how the options differ, how many kits you need and how to order with delivery across Uzbekistan.
Epoxy floor paint or self-levelling floor: what is the difference
Epoxy floor paint usually means a thin roller-applied coat. With Stafloor EP Finish it is about 0.5 mm: it follows the texture of the concrete, seals it against water and oil and gives the floor an even colour, using the least material.
A self-levelling floor uses the same material, poured rather than rolled, so it flows out into a 0.5–1.5 mm layer by itself. With a filler added, it becomes a 1.5–5 mm self-levelling mortar for floors that carry vehicles all day. A thicker layer lasts longer under wear and takes more material per square metre.
So there is no separate “paint” and “resin” to buy: epoxy resin for floors and epoxy paint for concrete are the same Stafloor EP Finish kit. Only the application method and the consumption differ, and the 1.5–5 mm mortar also gets a filler.
Which option suits your premises
Stafloor EP Finish is designed for industrial, warehouse, retail and exhibition premises, food and pharmaceutical plants, and zones where people, forklifts and vehicles are constantly moving. Broadly:
- Roller coat, about 0.5 mm — to stop dusting, ease wet cleaning and colour the floor where traffic is mostly on foot.
- Self-levelling coating, 0.5–1.5 mm — for a smooth, seamless, tidy surface: shops, showrooms, warehouses, clean production areas.
- Self-levelling mortar, 1.5–5 mm — for high mechanical loads: forklift and vehicle routes, loading zones, workshops.
- Anti-slip finish — for wet or oily areas and ramps.
The coating resists fuel, oils, greases, cleaning and disinfecting agents, salts, many solvents and dilute acids and alkalis. It is liquid-tight and, according to the technical data, physiologically safe once cured, which matters in food and pharmaceutical workshops. How the layer thickness relates to the load and to the condition of the concrete is explained in our article on choosing the thickness of a self-levelling floor.
How the Stafloor system is built up
- Step 1 — Stafloor EP Primer. This colourless, solvent-free epoxy soaks into concrete or a cement screed, seals the pores, stops dusting and bonds well to the base. Consumption is 0.25–0.40 kg/m², closer to the upper figure on porous concrete. The fresh primer is broadcast with 0.1–0.7 mm quartz sand at 0.80–1.00 kg/m². The same resin also serves as the binder for repair mortars, coves and skirtings.
- Step 2 — Stafloor EP Finish at the chosen thickness: about 0.5 mm by roller, 0.5–1.5 mm poured or 1.5–5 mm as a mortar. This layer takes the wear, the spills and the load.
- Step 3 — anti-slip broadcast, if required. Excess quartz sand is scattered over the fresh Finish; after curing, the loose sand is swept off and a sealing coat is applied. According to the technical data, this gives slip resistance class R11/V4 or R12/V6, depending on the sand grain size.
Kits, mixing ratios, colours and consumption
- Stafloor EP Finish: 25.0 kg kit — 20.0 kg of component A plus 5.0 kg of component B; mix A:B = 100:25 by weight.
- Finish colour: grey shades near RAL 7032 and RAL 7035, others on request.
- Finish consumption: approx. 0.80 kg/m² for a 0.5 mm roller coat; approx. 1.60 kg/m² for a 1 mm self-levelling layer.
- Stafloor EP Primer: 22.5 kg kit — 15.0 kg of component A plus 7.5 kg of component B; mix A:B = 2:1 by weight; colourless.
- Primer consumption: 0.25–0.40 kg/m², higher on absorbent substrates.
- Sand for broadcasting the primer: quartz, 0.1–0.7 mm, 0.80–1.00 kg per m².
- Shelf life: 12 months at +3…+30 °C in unopened packaging.

How many kits to order: a worked example
Multiply the area by the consumption, divide by the kit weight and round up. For 100 m²:
- primer: 100 × 0.25–0.40 = 25–40 kg, i.e. 2 kits of Stafloor EP Primer (22.5 kg each), plus 80–100 kg of quartz sand for broadcasting;
- 0.5 mm roller coat: 100 × 0.80 = 80 kg, i.e. 4 kits of Stafloor EP Finish (25 kg each);
- 1 mm self-levelling layer: 100 × 1.60 = 160 kg, i.e. 7 kits of Stafloor EP Finish.
These are nominal figures: rough concrete, unevenness and working losses raise the real need, so we confirm quantities with you before dispatch. For a 1.5–5 mm mortar, consumption depends on the filler content and is calculated per site.
What to check before you order
Having these details ready before you call makes the calculation more accurate:
- Floor area and traffic: people, trolleys, forklifts, vehicles.
- Concrete: per the product pages, compressive strength of at least 25 N/mm², pull-off strength of at least 1.5 N/mm², CM moisture up to 4 %.
- Site conditions: air and substrate at +10…+30 °C, relative humidity up to 80 %, surface 3 °C or more above the dew point.
- Whether you need an anti-slip layer, and which colour.
- Whether the floor will be cleaned with boiling water or steam: that calls for a different system, so tell us up front.

Frequently asked questions
Can I apply epoxy floor paint to concrete without a primer?
We advise against it. Stafloor EP Primer is absorbed into the concrete, seals its pores and binds the dust, giving the coating a sound, dust-free base. Primer consumption is low, and skipping this step usually costs more than the primer itself.
How soon can people walk on the new floor?
On the primer after 16 hours, on Stafloor EP Finish after 24 hours, both at +20 °C. Full cure takes 7 days, so plan vehicle traffic and the first wet cleaning accordingly. At lower temperatures every stage takes longer.
Which colours are available, and will the shade change in sunlight?
Standard colours are greys near RAL 7032 and RAL 7035; others are available on request. Long UV exposure can shift the shade, so if sunlight falls on the floor through large windows or glazed shopfronts, agree the colour with us before ordering.
