Fire-protection, anti-corrosion materials and floors in Fergana
Fergana and Fergana Region are home to chemical and oil refining plants, light-industry enterprises and building-materials factories. Here metal sits alongside vapours, reagents and petroleum products, and a single coat of paint cannot protect it. That is why STATERM supplies Fergana with systems made from its own materials — Stacor, TERM and Stafloor.
Chemicals and oil refining: how to build up protection for metal
The foundation is a zinc-rich primer. Stacor EP Zinc gives steel cathodic protection and is designed for corrosive environments up to CX according to ISO 12944-2. It is used in oil refining and at power plants — for pipe racks, supports and outdoor structures.
A chemical-resistant layer. Stacor EP HS withstands chemical attack and wear and is resistant to vibration and impact. It is applied to both metal structures and concrete.
Tanks holding petroleum products. For the internal surface of tanks for crude oil, petroleum products and diesel fuel, there is a dedicated coating — Stacor Tankguard.
The workshop: frame fire protection and the floor
Fire protection in workshops. For the steel frames of workshops and warehouses, TERM-007 is a good fit — a white thin-film intumescent coating. It is applied over an anti-corrosion primer and raises the fire-resistance limit of steel structures up to 120 minutes.
The workshop floor. The epoxy system of Stafloor EP Primer and Stafloor EP Finish is chemically resistant and does not let liquids through into the concrete. For trolleys and warehouse machinery it is laid as a 1.5–5 mm mortar.
Supply to Fergana and documentation
We ship materials from our warehouse in Tashkent: delivery to Fergana and across Fergana Region, self-collection is possible, and we will confirm lead times when you order. TERM fire protection is certified in the Republic of Uzbekistan and is packed in 20 kg units; for Stacor and Stafloor materials we provide technical documentation.
A similar project: a chemical plant
The STATERM project closest in profile is Navoiazot, a chemical plant in Navoi Region. Experience of working in a chemical environment will also be useful at enterprises in the Fergana Valley.
Questions about materials for Fergana
Will one primer do for both the workshop and an outdoor pipe rack?
Not necessarily. The epoxy primer Stacor EP is designed for atmospheres up to C5-M according to ISO 12944, while the zinc-rich Stacor EP Zinc is intended for oil refining. We will select the system based on a description of the environment.
How can the structures of an open-air unit be protected from fire?
For the open air, there is the grey weather-resistant coating TERM-009; it is also used indoors.
