Zarafshan is a city in the Navoi Region where mining and processing companies operate. At their plants, metal and concrete wear out in two ways at once: they are ground down by abrasives and eaten away by an aggressive environment, while the load-bearing frames of the buildings also need fire protection. For these conditions STATERM supplies Zarafshan with Stacor abrasion-resistant and anti-corrosion coatings and TERM fire protection.
Our projects in the Navoi Region

Against abrasion and aggressive environments
Abrasion, water, soil. Stacor Mastic abraziv resists abrasive wear and is designed for zones of alternate wetting and immersion, as well as for buried structures — category Im3.
Steel near chemicals. Stacor EP Zinc is a zinc-rich primer with cathodic protection; under ISO 12944-2 it is rated for environments up to CX.
Vibration and impact. Stacor EP HS is a chemical- and wear-resistant coating for steel and concrete that withstands vibration and impact.
Fire protection for plant frames
Frames inside the buildings are protected with white thin-film TERM-007, and exposed structures with grey weather-resistant TERM-009. Under either of them, an anti-corrosion primer is applied first. TERM fire protection increases the fire-resistance limit of steel structures up to 120 minutes.

For such areas there is Stacor EP Rapid, a fast-curing epoxy primer with zinc phosphate that is suitable for manual surface preparation to St3. We will select the next coats of the system to suit the environment.
How much fire protection should we order for a plant frame?
We calculate it from the frame specification and the fire-resistance limit required by the design. TERM-007 and TERM-009 are supplied in 20 kg packs, so we will round the quantity to whole packs.
