Fire-resistance limits and standards
The required fire-resistance limit (R15–R120) is determined by the fire-resistance degree of the building and the role of the structure according to ShNK 2.01.02-04 and SNiP 21-01-97. The coating thickness is calculated from the section factor of the steel and confirmed by certificates.

Frequently asked questions
What are fireproof paints and how do they work?
Fireproof paints are thin-film intumescent coatings. When heated during a fire, the coating foams and forms a heat-insulating char layer that slows down heating of the steel and raises the fire-resistance limit of the structure up to R45–R90 without adding weight or changing its geometry.
