UZBEKISTAN GTL, synthetic fuel processing and production complex
Fire protection of steel structures indoors and outdoors, anti-corrosion protection of the steel structures of the Uzbekistan GTL facility. The fire-protection and anti-corrosion system was applied to pre-prepared steel after abrasive blast cleaning of the steel structures to grade Sa 2.5 per ISO 8501-01.
Surface profile Rz = 50-75 µm. Salt content not more than 20 mg/m².
Then, after dust removal, the steel structures were primed with a dry-film thickness of at least 80 µm.
Next, a compatible, certified intumescent fire-retardant paint for exterior use was applied.
Finally, for structures exposed to atmospheric and ultraviolet effects, the steel was coated with a weather-resistant topcoat enamel at the required dry-film thickness.
