Anti-corrosion protection of tanks for storing TS-1, JET A1 aviation fuel
At this facility, the internal steel surface of the tanks was blast-cleaned to grade Sa3. Then a high-solids anti-corrosion epoxy coating with a dry-film thickness of 400 µm was applied. The paint used is certified for contact with TS1 and Jet A1 aviation fuel. It has all the permitting documents and is approved for use due to the absence of resin diffusion into the aviation kerosene.
The external surface was also blast-cleaned and covered with a two-layer anti-corrosion protection.
